I don't feel a compulsion to blog but if there is a visitor to this white and silent room then I am glad to....just send me an email via the contact button on the site...
A friend suggested that I blog as An American Director in London...I spent 2 years wandering the streets of London with my camera, as a flaneur. I would leave the flat with my camera, map, peanut butter sandwich, water bottle, and then to a new post code/tube stop each day to begin my rambles. But Iain Sinclair has since told me that one can't be a true flaneur in London because it is a city of disappearances...and I did feel my identity dissolve into the cityscape I walked through, looking ardently for that confluence of shape and line and incident that comprise the possibility of a good photograph...a number of the pix in 24 Very Short Stories are from these London rambles.
